You can enjoy, every winter sport Vermont has to offer - PLUS fantastic restaurants, wine, beer and cider tastings, historic sites and museums - and of course there's our warm hospitality, cozy rooms and fabulous breakfasts!

Winter Sports
There are several great options right outside our door!  X/C ski, snowshoe or take stroll through the tranquil woods on the Inn property or at the Chapin Farm just across the road. We supply the snowshoe and it's all included with your stay.

Downhill and XC skiing are also available within a short drive at the Snowbowl and Rikert XC Center at Breadloaf and there's no need to travel over slippery mountain passes to get there!
If you prefer something more challengingMad River Glen and Sugarbush ski areas are about 35 minutes away.

Join Us for 2023 Maple Open House Weekends  March 25 & 26 and April 1 & 2!

As winter winds down things really start to heat up for maple syrup producers all over Vermont. The sap is flowing and the steam is streaming out of sugar houses all over the state! 

If you've ever wondered how this sweet nectar of the gods is made, Maple Open House Weekends are when you should visit!

For the 2023 on the last weekend in March and the first weekend in April, sugar houses all over the state open their doors so you can see how it's done!

There are several large sugaring operations near by where you can you the entire process from the tree to the finished liquid gold!  Samples are a plenty!
